Where: San Francisco State University, near the Quad.
What: San Francisco Arbor Day is a celebration and volunteer day focused on improving our urban forest. The event draws many families with children, so we focus on creating a fun and interactive environment.
Along with several city agencies that provide information about their current initiatives and services, we typically have arts and crafts, including planter box building and a tree-related poster contest, face painting, baby goats, the zoomobile, mini-tree pruning lessons and “ask-an-arborist,” bucket truck rides, and recycling-focused circus games.
So join us at our booth to learn more about JOT, register your tree, and meet the team!
